The In-Sight Photography Project 's Eleventh Annual Silent Auction to take place during the month of October
During the month of October, The In-Sight Photography Project's Eleventh Annual Silent Auction and Exhibit will be on display at the Vermont Center for Photography.

BRATTLEBORO, VT, October 1, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- During the month of October, The In-Sight Photography Project's Eleventh Annual Silent Auction and Exhibit will be on display at the Vermont Center for Photography. In-Sight invites the public to an opening reception during gallery walk on Friday October 2, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at the Vermont Center for Photography, located next door to In-Sight's facility at 49 Flat Street in Brattleboro. Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday from 1:00 to 5:00 pm, Friday from 2:00 to 7:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 to 5:00 pm. The auction will close on Sunday, November 1st, following a reception from 5:00 until 8:00 pm, during which final bids can be made. In-Sight will continue to offer an option to bid online for those who cannot attend the exhibition. Works can be viewed online at www.auction.insight-photography.org

Proceeds from the auction will support the programs of the In-Sight Photography Project. For over sixteen years, In-Sight has offered beginner, intermediate and advanced level photography classes to area youth ages 11 to 18, regardless of their ability to pay. The auction represents more than In-Sight's largest annual fundraiser; it represents an outpouring of support -from the local community, the photographic community and the widespread community of In-Sight enthusiasts- for In-Sight's mission of offering photography classes to youth.

The auction continues to be In-Sight's most ambitious and rewarding fundraiser. This year's auction promises to continue the success of years past. The collection of work offers a wide range of images, donated by former In-Sight students and volunteers and locally, nationally and internationally known photographers. It is truly inspiring to see the public and arts community working together for such a noble cause. Photographers such as Duane Michals, Doug and Mike Starn, Fred Cray, Elijah Gowin and Mark Shaw are just a few of the well-known photographers who are participating this year.
